The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, formerly known as the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement, is the India’s Highest Civilian Honour bestowed upon exceptional achievers under the age of 18. The award was instituted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India in 1996 to recognise children (under the age of 18) with exceptional abilities and who have achieved outstanding status in various fields including academics, arts, culture, design, innovation, research, social service and sports. Yash was Awarded this prestigious award for his exceptional achievement in Motorsports.

The Federation of the Motorsports Clubs of India felicitated the achievers in Motorsports. In year 2020, Yash was awarded for his outstanding achievement in Motorsports for the year 2020 as he became the first recipient of the Pradhan Manthri Rastriya Bal Shakthi Puraskar, for kids with exceptional talent. This is the highest civilian award given by Government of India for kids under 18 years of age. The Annual Prize Ceremony was held on Sunday, 1st March 2020 at Delhi.
