
The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, formerly known as the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement, is the India’s Highest Civilian Honour bestowed upon exceptional achievers under the age of 18. The award was instituted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India in 1996 to recognise children (under the age of 18) with exceptional abilities and who have achieved outstanding status in various fields including academics, arts, culture, design, innovation, research, social service and sports. Yash was Awarded this prestigious award for his exceptional achievement in Motorsports.

The Federation of Motorsports Clubs of India, felicitates the National Champions in every category of Motorsports . In 2017, Yash was awarded for Excellence in Motorsports for the year 2017 in FORMULA-4 LGB (ROOKIE) by the virtue of him being the National Champion 2017 in Rookie category. The Annual Prize Ceremony was held on Sunday , 11th March 2017 at Chennai.
